DESCRIPTION:Submissions without cover sheets or from non-undergraduates WILL NOT be accepted.\n\nThe undergraduate journal of arts and literature of Ohio Northern\nUniversity is now accepting submissions for poetry, fiction,\nvisual art, and nonfiction.\n\nPrizes to be awarded in each genre:\n1st place - $75 2nd place - $25.\nContest judged by genre editors.\n\nDeadline is February 1, 2012\nWinners will be published in Polaris, and all contest entries will\nbe considered for publication.\n\n   Nonfiction: Up to 5,000 words, creative nonfiction, humor,\n   travel narrative, other things.\n\n   Fiction: Up to 5,000 words, open to anything with an interesting\n   voice including absurdist, experimental, prose poetry, etc.\n\n   Poetry: Submit 3-5 poems, avant-garde, free verse, traditional.\n\n   Visual Art: Art submissions should be sent as .TIFF or .JPEG files.\n   All media are acceptable. Maximum of 3 works per artist.\n   Artists should also include a Microsoft Word document containing\n   their name, the titles and media of works submitted, and a brief\n   artist’s statement.\n\nPlease include a cover sheet with brief author bio and contact information including:\n   Author’s name (should not appear anywhere else on the document)\n   Genre &amp; Title of Work(s)\n   Mailing Address\n   E-mail Address\n   Phone Number\n   Affiliated Undergraduate Institution\n   How You Heard About Us\n\nSimultaneous submissions are accepted, but the author must notify us immediately if\nhis/her work is accepted for publication elsewhere.
