Valhalla Press announces the Valhalla Press Legal Professionals Writing Contest. The contest seeks out the best in original fiction and nonfiction work written in English by legal professionals like lawyers, paralegals, law students and others who work or study in the legal field worldwide. There are no restrictions on subject matter, but all entrants must be members of the legal profession.

First prize is $500 and an ereader plus publication in Ragnarok, an e-lit journal. The second prize winner will receive an ereader as well as publication in Ragnarok. Deadline for entries is February 1, 2013. Winners will be announced by March 1, 2013. Valhalla Press reserves the right to choose a number of honorable mention winners from the contest whose work will appear in Ragnarok. All winners whose work appears in Ragnarok will receive compensation.

All submissions will received feedback from the judges.

Entry fee is $15 per submission and works are limited to 5,000 words. International submissions are welcome. Winners retain all rights except first-time International electronic rights. All other authors retain all rights.
