HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Each book in the Five Ancestors series is told from the viewpoint of a different main character. Jeff Stone has written the Five Ancestors Grandmaster Challenge Story Booklet from a new point of view—Grandmaster’s. Select one of the other Five Ancestor’s characters (Tiger, Monkey, Snake, Crane, or Dragon) and finish the tale from their point of view. Enter by printing your name, date of birth, your parent’s/guardian’s name (if contestant is under 18), full address, and phone number on the Five Ancestors Challenge Booklet, on a 3" x 5" note card, or an online print-out entry at www.FiveAncestors.com. Entries should be 500 words or less and may be written in the Five Ancestors Challenge Booklet, or typed up on a separate sheet of paper. Mail to The Five Ancestors Challenge Contest, Random House Children’s Books, Marketing Department, 1745 Broadway, MD: 10-2, New York, NY 10019. Entries must be mailed separately and received by Random House by April 15, 2010. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. Partially completed or illegible entries will not be accepted. Random House Inc. and COOL-ER ™ will not be responsible for lost, early, late, mutilated, illegible, stolen, postage-due, incomplete, or misdirected entries. All entries become the property of Random House and will not be returned, so please keep a copy for your records.

ELIGIBILITY
Contest is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States, and the District of Columbia, and Canada, excluding the Province of Quebec, who are 8 years of age or older as of February 1, 2010. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Random House, Inc., COOL-ER â„¢ and their parent companies, assigns, subsidiaries or affiliates, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and their immediate families, and persons living in their household are not eligible to enter this sweepstakes.

PRIZES
Seven (7) winners will receive a COOL-ERâ„¢ ereader and winning entries will be posted on www.FiveAncestors.com . Seven (7) runners-up will receive a full set of Five Ancestors books signed by the author, Jeff Stone. Total retail value of a COOL-ERâ„¢ ereader: $249.00. Total retail value of a set of Five Ancestors books: $56.44. If for any reason prize is not available or cannot be fulfilled, Random House Inc. reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value, including, but not limited to, cash equivalent. Prize is nontransferable and nonrefundable. Winners and runners-up shall be responsible for all taxes, if any.

WINNERS
Sponsor cannot accurately predict the number of entrants who will participate in the contest. Potential winners will be chosen on or around June 15, 2010 from all eligible entries received by the Random House Marketing Department within the entry deadline. Entries will be selected by the Random House Marketing Department staff and author Jeff Stone, whose decisions are final and binding, and will be based on an evaluation of each story's substance, as well as the creativity and quality of the writing. Winners or winners’ parents or legal guardians will be notified by mail on or about July 1, 2010, using the contact information provided at the time of entry. Sponsor shall have no liability for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received by the potential winner for any reason. If any potential winner does not respond within two weeks of the first notification attempt, or if the prize is declined or a notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to any potential winner, such potential winner will forfeit his or her prize and an alternate winner may be selected. If any potential winner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these official rules or declines a prize for any reason prior to award, such potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected. Sponsor will successively attempt to contact up to two (2) potential winners in accordance with such procedure, and if there is still no confirmed winner of the prize in question after such attempts have been made, the applicable prize may go unawarded.
